Compress 1GB Data/Movie to 10MB , KGP Converter

Compressing 1GB Data into 1MB,an exciting live trick demonstrated here. Really it is possible with the KGB Freeware (Open source) software.
click here to start your download
The procedure is very simple. In general you can compress the data in two ways.
1) KGB format
2) ZIP format
Everyone knows the ZIP format. I am here to tell you which is better and useful. If you do it in KGB format it takes 5-6 hours on a 256mb RAM to compress 1 GB data/movie in less than 10 MB ,even to decompress it takes the same time. ZIP is the commonly used compression type but has some particular disadvantage with respect to this issue,so you need KGB archiver only for this format to decompress. But if you do it in ZIP format it takes 6-7 hours on a 256 MB ram, but I tell you its worth because WINRAR & WINZIP both can decompress it in seconds. Hope now its clear that which format to use and which is better.
How to use KGP software?
1.Double click on the KGP icon and run the application.
2.It asks for which file you want to compress.
3.Select the file.
4.After you select, you get two options in which format you want to compress it.
5.select ZIP format ( I prefer ) and then set compression level to maximum (maximum the compression level , small the size of it will be compressed).

Just ignore the time given below it because it is not the real compression time. There is also an option that you can auto shutdown your computer once the compression is over.So you can go school/college/office & keep it to get compressed.

I usually will do the same.Enjoy this trick!!

Update Your BIOS, Keep Your PC Updated

Only updated BIOS makes your PC healthy. Here is a way to Update your BIOS.

Please read the following instructions carefully before starting a Flash BIOS upgrade:
A. Create a Bootable Floppy (in DOS)

•With a non-formatted disk, type the following:

format a:/s

•If using a formatted disk, type:

sys a:

This procedure will ensure a clean boot when you are flashing the new BIOS.

B. Download the BIOS file

•Download the correct BIOS file by clicking on the file name of the BIOS file you wish to download.

•Save the BIOS file and the Flash Utility file in the boot disk you have created. Unzip the BIOS file and the flash utility file. If you don't have an "unzip" utility, download the WinZip for Windows 95 shareware/ evaluation copy for that one time use from _www.winzip.com or _www.pkware.com. Most CD ROMs found in computer magazines, have a shareware version of WinZip on them.

•You should have extracted two files:

Flash BIOS utility eg: flash7265.exe (for example)

BIOS eg: 6152J900.bin (example)

Use the latest flash utility available unless otherwise specified (either on the BIOS update page or in the archive file). This information is usually provided.

C. Upgrade the System BIOS

During boot up, write down the old BIOS version because you will need to use it for the BIOS backup file name.

Place the bootable floppy disk containing the BIOS file and the Flash Utility in drive a, and reboot the system in MS-DOS, preferably Version 6.22

•At the A:> prompt, type the corresponding Flash BIOS utility and the BIOS file with its extension.

For example:

flash625 615j900.bin

•From the Flash Memory Writer menu, select "Y" to "Do you want to save BIOS?" if you want to save (back up) your current BIOS (strongly recommended), then type the name of your current BIOS and its extension after FILE NAME TO SAVE: eg: a:\613J900.bin

Alternatively select "N" if you don't want to save your current BIOS. Beware, though, that you won't be able to recover from a possible failure.

•Select "Y" to "Are you sure to program?"

•Wait until it displays "Message: Power Off or Reset the system"

Once the BIOS has been successfully loaded, remove the floppy disk and reboot the system. If you write to BIOS but cannot complete the procedure, do not switch off, because the computer will not be able to boo, and you will not be given another chance to flash. In this case leave your system on until you resolve the problem (flashing BIOS with old file is a possible solution, provided you've made a backup before)

Make sure the new BIOS version has been loaded properly by taking note of the BIOS identifier as the system is rebooting.

For AMI BIOS
Once the BIOS has been successfully loaded, remove the floppy disk and reboot the system holding the "END" key prior to power on until you enter CMOS setup. If you do not do this the first time booting up after upgrading the BIOS, the system will hang.

BIOS Update Tips:
1.Make sure never to turn off or reset your computer during the flash process. This will corrupt the BIOS data. We also recommend that you make a copy of your current BIOS on the bootable floppy so you can reflash it if you need to. (This option is not available when flashing an AMI BIOS).

2. If you have problems installing your new BIOS please check the following:

Have you done a clean boot?
In other words, did you follow the above procedure for making a bootable floppy? This ensures that when booting from "A" there are no device drivers on the diskette. Failing to do a clean boot is the most common cause for getting a "Memory Insufficient" error message when attempting to flash a BIOS.

If you have not used a bootable floppy, insure a clean boot either by

a) pressing F5 during bootup

b) by removing all device drivers on the CONFIG.SYS including the HIMEM.SYS. Do this by using the EDIT command.

Have you booted up under DOS?
Booting in Windows is another common cause for getting a "Memory Insufficient" error message when attempting to flash a BIOS. Make sure to boot up to DOS with a minimum set of drivers. Important: Booting in DOS does not mean selecting "Restart computer in MS-DOS Mode" from Windows98/95 shutdown menu or going to Prompt mode in WindowsNT, but rather following the above procedure (format a: /s and rebooting from a:\).

Have you entered the full file name of the flash utility and the BIOS plus its extension?
Do not forget that often you will need to add a drive letter (a:\) before flashing the BIOS. Example: when asked for file name of new BIOS file which is on your floppy disk, in case you're working from c:\ your will need to type a:\615j900.bin, rather than 615j900.bin only.

Add Music To Your Blog or Site

Here I keydown a very popular method to add music or audio file in to your site or blog. The sound interface will be placed right on the page and can be configured to start automatically, repeat over and over, or just play through once.

So, how do you do it? With the tag. This tag works in much the same way an image tag does. You will need to specify the source of the sound file and add additional commands as needed.

Here is an example of the tag:

This tells the browser to place this file on the page right where you placed the tag. You don't have to use a midi file, you can embed a .wav, .aud, and most other sound formats in this way.

As you can see, the src="" is asking for the source of the midi file, or its Internet address. Just type in the Web address of your midi file here, and you are on your way.
Now, you can add additional commands to the tag to control the output and appearance of your sound file.

Here are some common commands you may wish to use:
1. width="144 " : Tells the browser how wide you wish the sound display to be. Input a number in pixels.
2. height="60" : Tells the browser how tall you want the sound display to be. Input a number in pixels.
3. autostart="true" : Instructs the browser to begin playing the file automatically once it has been loaded on the page. You can set this value to true or false.
4. loop="true" : Instructs the browser to play the file over and over again for as long as someone is on that page, or until the user hits the stop button on the display. You can set this value to true or false.
5. hidden="true" : This command tells the browser to hide the sound display so people viewing your page don't see the sound display with the control buttons. The sound plays as though it were just in the background somewhere. You can set this to true or false.
Here is an example using multiple commands:

Well,Hence the task get done! Enjoy!!

Restrict Usage of Drive/Partition To Non-Admin Users

Here is a trick through which you can hide any drive/partition in Windows XP, NT, and 2000. Which means you can hide your drive showing up in Explorer or My Computer.
If you want access to that drive from your user account you should create a desktop shortcut before proceeding. Once hidden, you can still access by typing the drive letter and a colon in Start/Run—for example, "D:" will bring up a folder of the contents on your D drive.
The easiest way with Win XP is to use the TweakUI power toy from Microsoft. Go to Start/Run and type in "tweakui" (without the quotes).
Go to My Computer/Drives and uncheck the drive/partition(s) you want hidden. Click "Apply" or "OK" when finished.
If you have XP but not Tweak UI you can download it here.TweakUI
( If you installed PowerToys prior to April 23, 2002, you must uninstall your old PowerToys before installing the versions available here. )
For Win NT, 2000, and XP you can use the following Registry edit:
*Be sure to back up the Registry before proceeding
Open the Registry Editor by going to Start/Run and typing in "regedit" (without the quotes). Find your way to...
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies
Click on "Explorer".
Double-click the "NoDrives" key in the right column. If you don't find a "NoDrives" registry key, just right-click in the right pane and choose "New/DWORD Value" then name the key "NoDrives".
You'll see a value like "00 00 00 00". This is where the fun starts. The four sets of double zeros (after the "0000") are where you'll enter the values for the drive/partitions. Now, stay with me on this—it's not as complicated as it sounds:
The first column is for drives A-H, the second for I-P, the third for Q-X, and the fourth for Y-Z.
The values for each drive are as follows:
1 - A I Q Y

2 - B J R Z

4 - C K S

8 - D L T

16 - E M U

32 - F N V

64 - G O W

80 - H P X
So, let's say you want to hide drive D. In the first column you would put "08". For drive K you would put "04" in the second column.
But what if you want to hide more than one drive in a column? Simply add the values together: D+E = 8+16 = 24. So in the first column you would put "24".
Still baffled? If you have XP then go get TweakUI and save yourself the math.
Whichever method you use, you can rest easy knowing that the files on that drive or partition are less accessible to other users.

Microsoft Windows XP provided inbuilt security protection for every user account’s folders by restricting the access of other users in same computer.
Anyone can gain this protection by simply login using their own account and setting up a password for the account, right after creating a password it'll ask you for make private the documents.
By the way I found a way for accessing to others restricted files and folders if you have a account that has admin rights. Otherwise this will not work.
Log in to the computer using any account that has admin rights.
Open any folder, go to tool option there. (In upper area of every folder has menu, File Edit View Favorites Tools Help)
Simple select "Tools" then "view" in Folder Option window (Next to General tab)
In "Advanced settings" scroll down and at the bottom there is a option "Use simple file sharing (Recommended)" uncheck this and click "ok" for exit.
Next right click on the restricted folder select "Properties" and in Properties window click on tab "Security" (This tab is only visible after you uncheck the option Use simple file sharing. Otherwise this option not available in properties window)
Click "ADD" and it will open "Select Users or Groups" window click "Advanced" button in next window click "Find Now" this will show you the all accounts those are currently created.
Select your account name and click "ok" and again click "ok"
Now your account should be available in folder properties window, select your account name and click "Advanced" button in right bottom area.
This should open "Advanced Security Setting window" Select your account name (currently logged in) and tick the "place owner on sub containers and objects" and click "ok" and make sure in folder properties window under your account "Permissions for Administrator" all boxes are checked in "Allow" Click Apply and ok for exit folder properties window and you're done.

Reduce RAM Usage Of Mozilla Firefox and Increase System Performance

Mozilla Firefox the most popular web browser today. The most important problem people facing while using Mozilla Firefox is its High Memory Usage. Most people avoid using Mozilla firefoz because of the above reason. Here is a solution the problem mentioned above.
But actually this problem is not coming with the Firefox as we open it for first time I couldn’t notice this thing happen. But after some time later it’s going to eat more and more memory and also Firefox start up time increasing.

This can happen by many of our improper usage of Firefox. In here I mentioned few causes which you should consider about your Firefox browser.

Firefox extensions and themes:

Most common cause is Firefox extensions and themes, if you have installed lots of extensions and themes probably your browser very slow and show high memory usage.

Overall performance of your computer can be reducing.Check your Add-ons, Themes and remove all unnecessary extensions and themes.

Compare your extensions with Problematic extensions published by mozillazine and follow the recommendations there if any extension found.

Update all your extensions to newest versions, newest versions have lots of improvements and bug fixes for smooth usage.

Still your browser remaining the same status it’s proper to go through this tutorial and follow every this which I discussed here.

Check your extensions for high memory usage:

Let’s check the remaining extensions for memory usage. Even any of your extension not in the Problematic extensions it isn't guarantees that all your extensions are perfect.Open task manager and in “processes” tab check the memory usage of Firefox and write it down somewhere.

Exit from Firefox, Go to start and run type "Firefox -safe-mode" without double quotation marksCheck Disable all add-ons in opened window and click “continue with safe mood”Again in task manager check memory usage of Firefox and compare with previous result.

If there is high flow of memory usage there is an extension still want be removing.Again open Firefox in normal mood, go to "tools" "add-ons" and disable extensions one by one and compare the memory usage after disabling each and restarting the browser.

If you find huge memory reduction after disabling any particular extension that one should be removed if it's not providing a precious service.

Firefox Plug-ins:

Firefox plug-ins also acts as a devil in sometime, so it is better to read plug-ins section of mozillazine which has all the information and trouble shootings for latest plug-ins.

It is recommended you to pay your attention about Quicktime, Java, RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, Flash as they use normally.

Clear your Cookies and Download History:Remaining cookies, history and download history is also impact to speed of Firefox.

Removing them every day after done all of work is can be cause for better performance.Go to "tools" "Options" "privacy" and check "Always clear my private data when I close firefox" under private data and in "settings" (right to check box) select all available options and click ok.

This will prompt you to delete your junk data every time you close your firefox browser.

about:config Settings:

Type "about:config" bar and check "browser.cache.memory.enable" is true or not if it is false double click on it and change the attribute to true.

Right click on anywhere of the window and go to New > "Boolean" and enter "config.trim_on_minimize" set attribute to true. This will automatically reduce the memory usage when your browser is minimized.

Norton Internet Security 2008

The Norton Internet Security 2008 (NIS) version includes several newer improved modules and a revamp of the program’s design.NIS probably has a bigger following than just about any other security program but that dominance is a double edged sword: any virus or piece of spyware worth its salt will expect Norton to be there and will aim to switch it off before infecting the computer.
Making Norton secure must be a headache for Symantec but the company has achieved it with the latest version–it appeared solid in our tests. Newer improved modules include Data Safe, which puts personal data into a secure area on the computer so it can be used when logging into sites or paying for goods online.
There’s also an improved help section, including an automatic fix feature. There is improved intelligence in the virus killer and the program should be able to spot and destroy new threats by the way they act, before the company has developed a specific antidote. It also detects and destroys spyware.
As well as being the best-known security product,Norton has typically scored as one of the most resource hungry. We saw much less of a slowdown NIS 2008.A quick scan of at risk files took in more than 3,000of them and finished in50seconds on our test PC.The package includes a firewall but Norton Anti bot, which works to spot internet bots that might take over your PC, is a £15 optional extra,as are the spam filter and parental control modules. Although it misses those elements,NIS 2008 comes with a three computer three computer license,so it’s good for those with home networks.

Not able to open drives on hard disk by double click due to Autorun.inf Virus

Sometimes it happens in windows XP that you are not able to open drives on your hard disk. When you double clicking on the drives icons or right click on the drive-->explore in My computer ,the drive does not open.
This problem is generally caused by most of the viruses which infect windows XP system. They block or restrict your access to any of the drives.
What actually Causes this Problem?
Normally when a virus infects a windows system which causes a drive opening problem, it automatically creates a file named autorun.inf in the root directory of each drive.
This autorun.inf file is a read only ,hidden and a system file and the folder option is also disabled by the virus. This is deliberately done by the virus in order to protect itself. autorun.inf initiates all the activities that the virus performs when you try to open any drive.
You have to just delete this file and restart your system to correct this problem.
Steps to delete the file:
1.Start-->Run--> Type Cmd -->Click Ok
In the command prompt type, c:\ prompt
attrib a*.inf -h -a -s -rdel autorun.inf
Note : Then Change the Drive Letter C,D,E,F,G....and repaeat the Same Process.
